HHDC Celebrates Family Day

Laughter and liveliness were all over the place at Reformare Wellness Center, Trece Martires as Helping Hand Development Cooperative celebrate its Annual Family Day last October 27, 2018. The family day enables  HHDC’s families to share time together, relax, socialize and bond with their loved ones.

The whole day event was an opportunity for families to interact with their children, and improve the relationship bond within the family.

The event started with a mass and a morning exercise led by the HHDC personnel to lift up the energy of its guests, followed by the speech of Mr. Simone Joseph Sanchez, Chairman of the Board, as he welcomed the community to the celebration. The cooperative also invited Dr. Harris Arceo to do a small talk about the health and wellness of everyone, he then gave bits of advice to the crowd about a certain disease and how to prevent it in a natural way. In addition, he concluded that there is no better time than now to start living healthy.

The program followed with the introduction of satellite offices family members and the presentation of the main office. Afterward, a  magician entertained and thrilled the crowd with their impressive tricks. Everyone also takes part in activities like playing sports and participate in other recreational activities.

In sports activity, families and HHDC staff competed against each other in all-out games such as basketball, badminton, chess and more. For the basketball activity, HHDC-Main won the championship game and Mr. Boyet Navarro was awarded as the MVP of the tournament. The winners of each game were rewarded with special prizes. The games were not only a good way to teach teamwork but also to make friends and fun for everyone.

This fun-filled activity of the cooperative aims to promote unity among families and friends and to endorse the significance of a strong and well-balanced family.

As this years Family Day ended, everyone returned to their homes tired but very happy to have the opportunity to spend a special day together and hoping to have a similar opportunity in the near future.
